A dream, that you nurture in your heart for any kind work, can boost your energy and also empower you to walk on the path brushing aside all the obstacles that challange you. The dream itself is the 'Ikigai' for your success and happiness. And such a dream has been cherished by a group of people under the guidance of Karsan Desai to ignite passion for breaking out the obstacles in teaching English.
Karsanbhai always insisted on learning new things in life and also inspires others for the cause of child education. He stands as a beacon in the field of education. His simplicity of nature, complexity of knowledge and multiplicity of good qualities have brought all of us together. And we met for a noble cause on this day.
After a deep thought and discussions, the moment came when Karsanbhai announced the name of the group, 'Lingua Odyssey'. The name 'Lingua Odyssey' indicates two things, language and long journey. Our group aims at working with a language and also determines for the long journey ahead. We aim at improving classroom teaching and enriching resources of English. We want to grow together and thus to be benificial for our students. The problems caused by complexity of teaching shuold be addressed positively. Creative works and innovatives should also be shared to the remote aspirants of English language. We also desire to grow fluent in English while working together. A series of workshops should also be conducted for the benefits of English aspirants. We are also going to publish a regular journal on the several topics of English language.
But it is not a rules ladden or salaried group to achieve its ambitions. But it's a voluntary group that will work descretionarily on the day of holidays and will not be paid any salaries. It is a kind of self-help group for the benefits of our society.
On the date of fate, there were thirteen teachers, including four female teachers, who took time for this noble cause on holiday. They all vowed to work honestly and sincerly along with one another and achieve the goals. Karsan Desai was appointed as the 'President' and Shashankar Patil was apointed as the 'Secretary' for the smooth functioning of the group.
On this day, the special guest was Shri Arvind Amin, an NRI from US, who joined us virtually and inspired to carry on our work. He also serves our motherland by contributing his three months every year in the field of education in India. He is also associated with K.R.Shroff Foudation and Teach for India. He remained till the end of the meet and assured his full support to this noble cause.
Let's come together in the hope of growth and enrichment. Let's be united for the sake of education and knowledge. Let's join hands for the good of our nation.
संगच्छध्वं संवदध्वं सं वो मनांसि जानताम् ।
