“Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.”

— Benjamin Franklin

A good teacher always tries to involve his students in the process of learning and that creates a unique atmosphere that brushes aside all the possible obstacles in the way of classroom teaching. Involvement of students can also pave the way for enrichment. It reduces the burden on the part of teachers and students. The act of involvement makes the process very smooth and funny.

Teaching English as a second language is also a challenging task. An English teacher should be more cautious about the micro challenges in the process of teaching English in the classroom. He should have knowledge about these possible problems in the classrooms. Only after that, he will be able to solve the problems and cater to the interest of the students.

As an English teacher, we can apply various tricks and techniques in the classrooms to overcome all the hurdles. One of such techniques to solve the problem of engagement of students in the process of learning is to use dramatisation in the classroom while teaching English as a second language.

"Theatre is the classroom of the heart."

— Stella Adler

As we all know, a drama comprises every art and skill of our life. It is the real life mirror and it recreates the events very easily. Moreover, it deals with the visual as well as audio elements, making the content more engaging and interesting. It can be very useful in the field of education where the students feel disengaged or disinterested from the learning process. It will help them to easily get engaged with the process. It will enable them to express their emotions and empathy. They will have the space to acquire the skills without being burdened.

In this issue of LinguaZine, we have tried to cover all the possible factors of drama in English teaching. We believe that drama as a tool can be very fruitful in English language learning. This issue provides a range of drama factors that touch classroom teaching. The teacher that faces the problem may have the solution from this issue.
